The Earth is one of the eight planets in the solar system. It is the only known planet in the solar system that has life.
The Earth is shaped like a sphere, but it is not a perfect circle. About 71% of its surface is covered by water, so from space, the Earth looks blue.
There is an atmosphere around the Earth. The atmosphere protects us from the sun's harmful radiation and also helps keep the temperature suitable for life.
The Earth goes around the sun once every year — that is our year. At the same time, the Earth rotates once every twenty-four hours — that is our day.
The Earth has five main climate zones: tropical, subtropical, temperate, subarctic, and arctic. Different climate zones are suitable for different plants and animals to live.
The Earth is humanity's home. We must take care of the Earth, reduce pollution, protect natural resources, and keep the Earth beautiful forever.
